Happy Birthday Daddy! Posted by Hello

Haaaah

It was an interesting weekend personally for me. For almost a week I’ve been planning a surprise party for my Dad. I called it Operation Daddy Do. Well at first my Mom thought of just cooking Diner at my sister’s place. Well that was ok but I felt since my Dad’s about to retire in a few days time plus the fact that he’s been the main source of fund for most of our expansive diners I guess he more then deserve something special. So I thought of a surprise for him, being me who like to surprise people I wanted to bring him to somewhere special. I ve always wanted to bring my family to “our” (hahah sounds corny huh, I know my sis would be saying that hahaha) place which is Tamarind Hill. Since the place is secluded and surrounded by houses I quickly realized that it is the exact place where I can surprise my Dad. So I gathered everyone and told them of the place (siap mail the map from the site lagi) told them to be there early. Budgeted around 50 ringgit per person (cheapla considering the amount my Dad had spent on us) at first there were concerns of the place being too pricey. My mom and sis even thought of adjourning to Suzy’s place or uptown for fear of not having enough to eat. I was really finding it hard to convince them that the place was ok. Why? because we re gonna be eating Thai food where rice will be the main dish. Its not as if each one of us is going to order Ribs or Steaks which obviously would cost more. The rice would surely make everyone full plus as long as we ordered the right dishes we would be fine. Honestly I was a bit concern of the money too hahah.

So on the day everyone did their thing. Mostly during the day we tried to ignore doing stuff my Dad wanted. Haha just wanted to make him a bit edgy. Left him at home for most of the day as we went and bought the cake we wanted to get him a Durian Cake at Bon Bon but unfortunately it was closed. Instead we got my Dad a Tiramisu cake from LaManila. (See pic) So to make sure he didn’t wander of and did his own thing I told him I wanted to bring him to a special furniture shop owned by a friend of mine. My sis told him she had diner plans with her friends and my brother went to OU with his friends. My Dad wanted to see my cousin’s daughter that night but I managed to divert him by telling him my cousin was not around. All which is not true at all. Anyway everything went on as planned. Wait it almost didn’t as we were about to park our cars my cousins cars were parked smack in the middle of the restaurant. I quickly turned off the car lights and maneuvered the car swiftly and luckily he did nt even realized it. Heck my Dad even got down in front of my cousins car but my mom managed to block him from noticing. To make sure he didn’t noticed I asked my fiancée to bring them up to the so called furniture shop. Went in and he was surprised to see everyone there at the place. Just wished I managed to see his face when he saw everyone. Well what to do had to park the car. No worries as long as he was happy and got a good shock. Thanks guys for making it happen! Hahah…

The only thing that was missing on my part was his present. Yup I didn’t get him any, I am a bit sad that I didn’t get him anything but there is not much that I could do as this month has been really tight. With the car and what not. Wished I had plastic but maybe it’s not time yet. Well at least I am not in credit. When I can afford it I ll get you the Osim massage chair k Daddy. Unfortunately, not at the moment la. So last night’s idea and organization was all I can afford. Luckily my Project Coordinating skill was put to good use….
