Football Crazy Sucks!
Huuuaaarrgghhh ….
Damn it, I was down with German Measles during the weekend. For those of you who are more Medic-Savvy that’s Rubella. Yup fork it! apparently the stuff does not just effect girls but guys can get it too. So my face and body were covered with rashes and I had headaches. But after medication everything turned out all right. Haarrrgghhh so for the whole weekend I had to stay home at the apartment. Was nt that bad after all, got to see SpyGames and EuroTrip dvd but I missed my nephew’s birthday. Sorry kiddo maybe next year you uncle fantastic will be there yaa.
So I get to leave office early on Friday but I didn’t go out cause I didn’t want to be at fault for other people getting infected. So there I was at peace with my PS2, thank you my beloved black box. Played winning eleven and ….winning eleven. Hahahah what else? No other game is worth playing man. I also got to watch this program at ESPN Starsports called Football Crazy. One word to describe it “excruciating”, seriously. Ok why the show sucks is simple. First and foremost the hosts! Ok the host Andy and Colette are an obvious mismatch! The key to a successful show is the host. So if the show has 2 host first and foremost they’ve gotta have chemistry. Never underestimate the compatibility of the guys hosting your show. It’s the same thing that happened to the Hitz FM’s morning show. Hitz FM’s morning show was really good because both Fly Guy and Lil Kev had a natural chemistry that really made the show fun to hear. Just look at all the Late night shows, be it Leno or Letterman they all had sidekicks who could blend well with the show. The problem with the show is both Colette and Andy have no such chemistry at all. Zero, nil, kosong! They are so affected that it’s unbearable to watch. Colette especially is trying to hard to be funny. I ve got nothing against her being on that show; I don’t mind the opposite sex being there cause football is after all everybody’s sport. But she s not your fun, carefree type of gal for that sort of show. She’s not crazy enough for football crazy. Honestly, I think its not her. Her personality doesn’t fit the show. I just can’t name any female personality for that show but I do think Sheikh Heikel who is the guest on the show should have been the better option. He and maybeee Andy might work well together. I like the guy I can still remember him during his Construction Site days, they were cool. And for those of you who didn’t know Sheikh is the Singaporean dj who got kicked by his radio station for being too “brave” on the air waves. To be fair to this Colette Andy didn’t fair to well either. Just because he’s some Southampton gwailo doesn’t mean he’s up for the part.
Another thing, they had this Tampanese Rovers on the show. What the frigging hell for! Had the show been called Football Crazy Singapore then its ok. But for people like us what the fork do we care about them. At least a person who is quite conversant as I am ehem ehem know who these Tampanese Rovers guy are. Some played in the Malaysia Cup in the Singapore team that’s how I know laa, not that I care. Anyway with those guy being on the show it somehow derailed the focus of the show. The guys weren’t funny weren’t crazy similar to PJ. I thought the show is Football Crazy not Football Sleepy. At least do something like calling these hardcore Kops or Devils supporter and let them have a go at each other. Or maybe tape them doing commentary on a match (something they do in the UK). Aaarrgghhh just do something fun and crazy la.
Crazy; understand the word and watch the program then you ll know why I am stomping at it. To fix it get a Crazy host first, if you need to pair them up then make sure they have chemistry. Crazy host? Ok Grub Smith of Travel Sick is crazy, Ian Wright is crazy. Now get the picture? Until then I am not wasting my precious TV time with Football Crazy.
