Movie Rant!

Another opening day movie for me yesterday yeah you guessed it by now. I watched AVP last night apparently it sucked!

But before I get into why it sucks you guys are gonna have to put up with me ranting about idiots who watch movies. I ve always had this problem whenever my fiancée and I watch movies. We re ardent movie watchers you see so we ve had our fair share of experience with idiot movie watchers. They are a few types of idiot movie watchers you see,

I wanna be part of the movie idiot

Ok this type of idiot is those who just can’t help but want to be part of the movie. These guys talk in the movie loud enough that you can’t even concentrate on the movie. The worst part about this idiot is that they sooo bloody want to be part of it they sometime try to talk to the movie. They ll go “AIYA, watch out Alien at the back!” or they go on “Aiyo,Aiyo…” or “Hully up hully up!” excuse me biatch but these guys don’t hear you and I for one don’t want to hear you bitch at the back. Last night this biatch was constantly talking and giving comments to the movie. This biatch went to the movie with her husband and kid. Normally when I see a kid in the cinema watching a grown up movie I know for a fact that my patience will need to work overtime. But honestly its not the kids fault. It s always the stupid parents who are idiots (Lets not hope I fall into that category later in life). Unless it’s a cartoon or a kiddie movie DON’T BRING YOUR KIDS TO THE CINEMA. Anyway when were entering the cinema I noticed a few innocent kids sitting near us. One of them was this biatch’s son. As the movie was to start I realized that the kid was actually scared shit of the movie. He was asking his parents what time it is and making obvious I am scared sounds. Fair enough as he’s just a kid. So I was consigned to accept the fact that I wont be able to watch this movie peacefully. But to my surprise its not the kid’s in the cinema that were the problem. Its all these idiot grown ups who I felt like punching. I am telling you the mom aka biatch was making so much noise from the start of the movie till the end. When we went out I just felt like stuffing her mouth with my foot. Yeah yeah I know it sounds excessive but biatch I don’t pay 10 bucks to hear you bitch biatch. During all this her son was able to contain his fear and kept quite. Biatch learn from you son ok!

I am a smart ass asswipe idiot

A few rows above us were a bunch of kids watching the movie. These idiots were worst they were helluva asswipe that they were trying to be the attraction of the cinema. Making comments that they thought others would find funny. Asswipes if you have something to say get the fork out and talk to the mirror. Only another asswipe like you would like it. So if you were at the GSC Midvalley at the 7.15pm show cinema 13 with your group of asswipe homies I hope you guys burn and rot in the pits of Hell.

Okla those two species of idiots are enough for today.

Back to the movie review. All right as I am a man of honor I will not give out any spoilers. So if you haven’t watched the movie, don’t worry my posting will not give anything away. Ok honestly I didn’t like the movie. Its not that this movie is not smart (I can dig tasteless wham bam straight forward action movie storyline) but you see I was an avid comic book reader too. I say was because nowadays comics are soo damn expensive due to the exchange rate. Heck I even have the first Aliens VS Predator comic when its first series came out. So when the director is someone who does not uphold the fundamental essence of the main character obviously I get pissed off. So that is the main problem this movie. The Predator character really really disappointed me. Nuff said.

The same bloody thing happened with the The Punisher. Punisher was my number 1 comic when I was a kid. But to see the way they made the movie this year really disappointed me. The Punisher was a kick ass soldier. Someone who is an expert at killing people in a military style kinda way. His character should have been like Benicio Del Toro’s character in the movie The Hunted (If you want to watch a tasteless wham bam straight forward action movie, this is what you should watch ).

I guess for such stories you really need to stick to the true essence of the character never try to change it. It happened with Joel Schmacher when he directed Batman & Robin. And what did he get? An award by Maxim mag for the worst movie of all time.

First of all I wanna thank my colleague Sidee for giving me my very first comment. Yipeee my first ever comment! Hahahah at least I know they are people who take time to read my bland blog.

Hahaha …Congratulations to the Springboks! They truly deserve this years Tri Nation. The thing that separates them from the others is the fact that they wanted it more. You can see in every Springbok player that they want were highly determined to win it. I guess all the failure and off field problems they ve been facing have made them a tighter unit who really want to prove to everyone that they are still a force to be recon with. You could see what the title meant to them once the referee blew the final whistle. Again congratrz to the South African team.

Weekends? Well how do I start? Well weekend was a bit hectic for me. Did nt do too much but its been one of the more tiring weekends I ve experienced. Most of the weekend was spend with my mom and grandparents. I have to admit a certain level of patience is needed when I do this. It’s always a challenge for me to do this. You see I am not one of the most patient guy sincerely I admit it. I do admit I have a short fuse but honestly for all that I never meant to make anyone offended. So I hope my mom and grandparents had a good time (honestly its not that I brought them around that much) during the weekend. Hopefully they didn’t get the edgy vibes form me whenever I got a bit agitated. I am not perfect you see.

The other thing that I have to mention is about my fiancée. I seldom want to talk about this cause these are private matters of my life. This is why you would never see me posting any of my pictures let alone my love ones on this blog. But sikit sikit bole la…Well I do realize that its been around 3 weekends that I have not been spending my time with her. Spending time here meaning her and me alone. So I understand it if she's a bit woebegone. Even tough she would not tell me this but I guess when you have that close connection you re gonna know about it anyway. Sometimes I wish I can detach part of me and give it to my fiancée, another to my family, another to my kick-ass job, my rugby team and probably then a bit for myself. But you see that s just not possible so hopefully I can manage my time better and at the same time keep everyone happy. Seriously ….

Okla before this posting gets way to sappy lets move to other things.

My fiancée is probably going to be on tv heheheh no I am not telling for what,but its like a promo thing. So I hope I can get her something nice to wear. But money is of an issue how huh? I don’t have a credit card thank god (to a certain extent la) so how? Where did my money go? Well mostly to the kick ass Island trip la. Alaaa ask her to use her money first la Haahhahaha so nice of me.

My fantasy football team’s been doing ok. I am taking a gamble for this weeks mid week games. I’m gambling on a cheap ass striker so I hope he scores so that I can make some money from him before I can sell him for a proven player hahahaah So cruel of me. But that’s fantasy football for you.

Been impressed with Liverpool after watching their game. Seriously I don’t think they re gonna miss Owen just look at Cisse man. Peeerrgghh he s gonna shine I tell you. And that Spanish right back was good but I cant remember his name. Plus they re gonna get Xabi and Luis Garcia. If they adapt then watch out for Liverpool. Well at least you know the managers right by looking for a replacement for that Finnan dude. That guy is useless as a right sided midfielder. But both my team Milan and Man U got wins. Yeah my boy Shevchenko got a hatrick some more. That s what I am talking about. Forza Milan

Since I am a tad busy this few days there isn’t much I can post on the blog. I should not be la kan hahahah so obedient of me. Anyway this is going to be just a short posting so I am gonna be giving a joke which I personally like. It’s a midget joke I picked up from my treasured Maxim magazines. Here goes:

The weekend has not been so kind to me. Its got nothing to do with me going back to JB (that’s the saving grace of my weekend actually) but its got more to do with my favorite teams. First of all my beloved All Blacks got trashed by the Springboks AAARRGGHHH! It pains me to even say it man. This is the second straight loss and the Tri Nation is gone. Damn It. I just hope the Springboks will whip the Wallabies next week. I d rather the Springboks win then the bloody Wallabies. Give face to the Springboks la cause they ve been bad for quite some time. The second is cause the Red Devils loss to Chelsea that’s not too bad as its still early days. But my fantasy football team did nt do too well. Aisey although I am still new to it but then again nobody likes to perform badly.

Enough of that cause there is a more interesting topic that’s been playing in my mind for quite awhile. I wanted to post this article on Friday but I was too tied up with work. Its about the biggest rip off ever to happen on Malaysian TV. Yup if you are of the same wavelength as I am then you would have guessed it. I am talking about Akedemi Fantasia. Maybe some hardcore fanatics might detest this but I have no doubt in my mind that it’s a big scam. Before I go on just to make it clear I myself confess to watching it (watching yaa not voting astro will not get a cent from me on this!) and I admit that Zahid is a worthy winner. I am not trying to take anything away from had he not win that it further strengthens my point that the show is a big scam.

To me the biggest culprit of the show is Astro. They are really milking the profits from the public with the sms judging. Fair enough if they want to use it as a measuring stick for all the students all other shows use it eg Malaysian Idol,etc. But its all the hanky panky that they do on the show which really pisses me off. The scam started way earlier during the first three concerts when they decided against eliminating the students. Not only once did they do this but twice. Ok why I am saying that this is a big scam is because when people vote; they vote because they want to keep their students at the Akademi. Make sure they don’t get eliminated, so when Astro did their so called “kezutan“ of not eliminating any student they indirectly cheated the viewers through their sms. Doing it once maybe acceptable but twice that is too much man. Everyone should be aware of this, Astro makes tons of profit from the sms alone. Sms ok and I am not talking about profits from the sponsors and such. So just imagine how much they manage to cheat everyone with those 2 weeks of meaningless votes. Were you guilty of voting during those 2 weeks? I hope not.

Then there was the Linda issue. Again I like to point out that the students are all innocent in this matter its Astro which spoiled the whole thing with greed. How could Linda came back after being eliminated? Don’t tell me it was already planned. I got a strong feeling that was not the case. Not only did they manage to milk a further one week of viewers sms vote they also put the whole competition into jeopardy cause what’s the point of voting if such things can happen. Another reason might be because Linda is quite popular among those in Brunei. You see the people in Brunei are a rich lot so a few cents of votes mean nothing to them they can afford it. So I am guessing that Astro who recognize this wanted to get them back to vote. I really feel for her cause she is a victim of Astro’s greed. Together with Mas they have done nothing but yet they are being judge unfairly and to a certain extent reviled by the public.

Another reason might be because they wanted a lady winner. I have said this before even during the first AF “A girl will NEVER win AF!” Luckily Zahid won it if not it was a big time scam. Just think most of those who vote are girls. Guys who vote maybe faggots or so. Ok Ok la I take that back maybe not. My point is guys are less likely to vote the majority will be girls and who do girls vote for obviously those cute ones who can barely sing. Girls will seldom vote for other girls trust me this is simple logic. If not how could that Khai and Adam win??? I refuse to enter an argument about Khai being a singer you must be an idiot to think so, Adam is a carbon copy of one of the KRU singers. Like Paul Moss of the Malaysian Idol judge would say it’s a very Malaysian thing to do to copy other people’s style of singing. I totally agree with him. The whole point of a talent competition is to unearth new talents not produce the same thing. For the sweet love of God we don’t need another KRU la. To be fair to Adam he can dance a barely sing but honestly he didn’t deserve to win it.

Think about it what did the 3rd place guy won. Just rm 3 000 in cash (I am not sure of the other stuff he won) come on Astro don’t tell me you can not use those big amount of profit to give a creditable prize money it’s a joke man.

I got nothing against the show I can take it I can watch it I like the teachers I think Ramli MS is cool cause he’s honest but I just can not accept all the hanky panky Astro is doing. They did get the formula right but to me they over did it with being greedy.

The Village Rocks!

Oraite ….

Since I found my new zest for blogging somehow all I could think of was materials for my blog. Come to think of it there are loads of things that I could talk about. Well being someone who expresses things more often then others does help I guess.

But I am gonna start with the movie I watched last night. Watched The Village last night and all I could say about the movie is WICKED! Honestly its one of the better movies I saw this year. What fascinates me more when I watch it is the fact that it somehow mirrors the whole concept and direction of this blog.

Provocative Lucidity.

It rocks man. I know how M Knight Syahamalan (not sure of his spelling) tries to twist his story so much to the extend it becomes predictable but in this movie it’s the questions that come after watching it that makes it so compelling. Ok if there is one thing I hate the most is someone spoiling a really good movie for me, this happened to me when I wanted to watch The Others. Therefore I will not talk further about it. So I ll probably give 1 or 2 weeks before post something about the movie. Things like why I like it and the interesting bits of the movie. So if you haven’t watched the movie and don’t want to know the details of the movie make sure you don’t come to the Stomping Ground in one or two weeks time. Cause you’re gonna get stomped. Eeerr ok that sounds a bit overboard but seriously watch the movie. After watching it; if it doesn’t lucidly provoke your thinking then, the movie is not for you. If you are watching for horror sake you ll enjoy it but you won’t get the vibe. It’s the type of movie which stimulates your thinking with questions that you may or may not think about, something like minority report laa..

Ok ok I ll stop here don’t wanna spoil it for you guys.

But before that is it just me or GSC Mid Valley cinema smells like shit. Why? Is it because they are so utilized that they don’t even bother to clean it. My advice if you re going there for a date don’t bother smelling good cause both of you are going to smell like garbage when you come out. Lose the deodorants, perfumes cause it wont help. On top of that they don’t even turn the air-cond properly. I don’t think the layers under my skin are that thick until I could not even feel the air conditioning.

Entering Unknown Territory 

Damn its been ages since I last blogged. I foresee the point of explaining why it took me so long to post something new since the obvious reason was slothfulness. So much has happen since then believe it or not I got engaged. Hahah you better believe it. To tell everything that has happen since would then require me to give up my job. So since I am expected to be more responsible due to the fact that I am engaged a job is highly important.

So in this posting I ll just inform everyone of the whole revamp of my blog starting from the title. Well I changed the title simply to make it sound cooler. Hahahah poyo gila. But there is a reason and actual meaning to it. I did nt simply choose it just for the sake of coolness. One reason is its actually a name of a Singapore hardcore group that I used to listen during my school days. I remembered at the back of the cd cover the singer was singing upside down. Head down legs up. Wicked. But dont ask me how he did it those who know the group know I am not shiting about this. In a way people will also know I grew in that era and environment. A 79er who's teenage life was spent mostly in JB but right now grinding it out in KL. Plus I wanted people to get the feel of the my blog. On the edge, no holds bared its as if you re stomping on fire it is sure to kill the smell of your feet. Whatever that means. Hahahah...

Which comes to my explanation of my blog. Provocative lucidity. Hopefully after reading my blog you will be lucidly provoked. Get what I mean???
